Legionnaires On Saturday, February 20, 2010, 1100 the Marine Corps League is to have a ceremony in the City Park at the Veterans Memorial. This ceremony is to present to Steven Edwards of the United States Marine Corps a Purple Heart. Steven was wounded several times in action during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart medal but they mailed it to him.After all these years the Marine Corps league of Woodstock wants to do this properly and award this medal more personal. General Johnson of the Marine Corps League will make the presentation. Steven Edwards is a member of American Legion Post 316 and members of Post 316 have been asked to stand with them during this presentation.
