A veteran- whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve-is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The "United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life".
That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

On September 16, 2009 at the Woodstock Community Center American Legion Post 316 honored the recent graduates of Boys and Girls State. Annetta Tucker, Unit 316 President introduced the girl graduates and Commnader Charlie Tucker introduced the boy graduates. State Senator Chip Rodgers offered his congratulatory words and words of encouragement for these young outstanding youths to carry on in their future endeavors.
